His name, Oluwaloseyi, comes from Yoruba and translates to “It is God who has done this.” Known as Seyi, he grew up in a rented home in Ketu, a neighborhood in Mainland Lagos. At the age of ten, his family relocated to Ikorodu, another bustling area in Lagos State. With Yoruba roots, Seyi is a Lagos native and speaks English, Yoruba, and Pidgin English fluently.
From an early age, Seyi Vibez had a strong love for music, drawing inspiration from popular Nigerian artists like P-Square, 2baba, D’banj, 9ice, and Olu Maintain. During his high school years, he began creating his own tracks, aspiring to become a music superstar one day.
Seyi’s educational path started at Al-Sodiq Primary School in Ketu, followed by Skylights Secondary School in Agric, Ikorodu, for his secondary education. He is currently studying sociology at Lagos State University (LASU).
